But in my life experience, <strong>I&#8217;ve noticed that my relationship is a great springboard for following my dreams<\/strong>: in my case, going on a 14-month round-the-world trip or setting up my own creative arts boutique.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-24a532c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"24a532c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">1 - Why are individual projects so important when you're a couple?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-82a99b4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"82a99b4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Individual projects are essential to a balanced relationship for several reasons:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1d3466d elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1d3466d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">\ud83d\udc49\ud83c\udffc Individual projects help you avoid too much merging<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e28ca4b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e28ca4b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tEveryone can take a breather, rather than being constantly <i>&#8220;on top of each other&#8221;<\/i>.<br>\nWhile our society still generally values the model of the <i>&#8220;fusional&#8221;<\/i> couple, and this works in the initial <i>&#8220;honeymoon<\/i> &#8221; phase, it is not viable in the long-lasting <i>&#8220;real couple&#8221;<\/i>, as it creates a risk of suffocation.<br>\n\u27a1\ufe0f It&#8217;s up to you to find your own balance between what therapists Carolle and Serge Vidal-Graf call <i>&#8220;inspiration-fusion&#8221;<\/i> and <i>&#8220;expiration-separation&#8221;<\/i> <i>(in their book <u>Couple r\u00eave couple r\u00e9el: de l&#8217;\u00e9tat amoureux \u00e0 l&#8217;amour<\/u>)<\/i>.
